Lighting Workshop Module #3







MOD3_MAT is the master material which has a solid basecolor, metallic, specular, and roughness parameters. The roughness parameter can toggle between using a numeric value or a texture map, additional roughness can be added on top of the texture map once enabled, and the UV coordinates of the texture map can be scaled. Two material instances of the master material,  MOD3_MAT_MI01 and MOD3_MAT_MI02, were created to showcase the capabilities of the master. MOD3_MAT_MI01 is used for the platform and MOD3_MAT_MI02 is used for the creature.

Artist Roadmap

1. If you could project out past graduation, what is your overall career goal?

After graduation my first goal is to work in Orlando, affecting overall where I live and my commute. I would prefer to work on a AAA large to midsized team. I would only be interested in working on an Indy Team if I knew the team members going in. I would also be interested working for a simulation company that focuses on military simulations.

2. If you could project out into starting your career, what sounds the most appealing to you?

I would like to work as a Character Artist.

3. What are some of the top companies that you are interested in working for?

EA, Iron Galaxy, Epic, Id Software, Bethesda (Zenimax), Arcane Studios, Machine Games.
